Booking comedians in Monterey
Monterey's waterfront hotels, Cannery Row and nearby golf resorts make it a premier destination for corporate retreats, conferences and oceanfront weddings. Destination events often include lodging for the band. We negotiate it into the offer up front.
Where Monterey events happen
Oceanfront hotels, waterfront venues, golf resorts and historic adobes.
Season & timing
Coastal fog and wind are common, especially in summer. Late summer and fall often bring the clearest weather on the coast.
Know your audience
Tell us who's in the room. For workplaces and mixed ages, we book clean comics who are proven with corporate crowds.
Set up the room for laughs
Comedy works best with a mic, light on the comic, guests seated facing the stage and no dinner service during the set. Schedule it after the meal.
Consider customizing
Many corporate comics add material about your company or industry. Share a short brief a few weeks before the event.
Options we book
Clean corporate set
20–45 minutes of workplace-safe material for mixed audiences.
Custom & roast
Material written around your company, team or guest of honor.
Comedy show
A host plus one or two comics for a full evening program.
Questions to ask before you book
- Can we see a full clean set on video?
- How long is the set, and can you also host?
- Will you customize material for our group?
- What do you need for sound and lighting?
- Are there any topics you avoid?
We ask these for you, and negotiate set length, clean vs. adult content, custom material and the contract terms on your behalf.

Hiring a comedian in Monterey: FAQ
How much does it cost to hire a comedian in Monterey?
Comedians set their own fees based on their profile, set length, date and travel, so we don't publish prices. Tell us about your event and budget and we'll bring you options and negotiate for your Monterey event.
Do you book clean comedians for corporate events?
Yes. Clean comics are most of what we book for company parties, conferences and fundraisers.
How long should a comedy set be?
For most events, 30–45 minutes. Shorter sets work for award nights; a headliner may do 45–60 minutes.
Can a comedian host our event?
Yes. Many comedians also emcee, keeping the program moving between speakers, awards and entertainment.
Can you guarantee a clean comedy set?
Yes. We book comedians who regularly perform corporate shows and write content expectations into the contract, so everyone knows what's appropriate before the show.
