What to Put in Your EPK: An Electronic Press Kit Checklist for Performers
Your electronic press kit is your sales pitch. Here's exactly what event buyers want to see in it.
The essentials
- A short bio (3–5 sentences) plus a longer version.
- 2–3 live performance videos, with your best one first.
- High-resolution photos: one live shot, one clean promo shot.
- A sample set list or repertoire list by genre or decade.
- Where you're based and how far you travel.
- Contact details and how fast you respond.
For private events, add
- The types of events you've played and a few notable ones.
- Testimonials from couples, planners or companies.
- What's included: sound, lighting, MC, setup and breaks.
- Lineup options, for example trio, five-piece or full horn section.
Technical details
Include a simple tech rider: stage size, power needs, load-in time and anything you need from the venue. For aerial, fire or specialty acts, list rigging requirements and insurance. It answers the questions that would otherwise delay a booking.
Keep it current
An outdated video or a dead link can cost you a booking. Review your EPK every few months and refresh it with new footage after strong gigs.
